Barry is a highly passionate and driven sport and exercise scientist / athletic development & sprint coach.

Having grown up in a sporting family, Barry has engaged in many sports such as rugby league, athletics, soccer, rugby union, swimming, hockey, oz-tag & cricket, some of which he represented at higher level.

His current training regimes involves Sprint Training and Olympic Weight Lifting.

Having done an Athletic Development Coaching Internship with the Cronulla Sharks NRL, being part of their Internal Coaching Academy and Strength & Conditioning coach for their Harold Matthews squad, Barry has worked alongside athletes from a range of different sports. These include NBL, NRL, NPL, Softball Australia, boxing, to Jnr development rugby league and the extended general populations where he has applied his knowledge and expertise of speed and agility along with strength and conditioning programming.

He is a life long student and is forever researching and applying knew found knowledge and principles into his coaching to bring out the highest potential in his athletes through utilising the right methods of training with the correct biomechanics, stimulus and recovery to the body for the ideal physiological adaptions to take occur.

He embodies strong interpersonal communication skills which allow him to adapt to a client focused centre of care, connecting and treating each athlete as an individual and not just a number, enabling the best outcomes for growth towards the athlete mindset and speed development.

Barry’s coaching philosophy is “Human first, athlete second.”
