Renowned sprint coach Roger Fabri is poised to open a $2.5 million facility that could become the gold standard in sports performance centres.

Fabri – whose client list includes Jarryd Hayne, Sonny Bill Williams and Mitchell Pearce – will be launching his 2XU-sponsored Speed and Agility Academy in Alexandria in February.

“I have been studying in the US for over 10 years and visited many high-performance centres,” Fabri said.

“I’ve combined all the intellectual property to provide the most sophisticated technology coaching can provide. The centre will be a one-stop shop from rehab all the way to performance.

“I can see Australia introducing testing criteria for all codes, much like the NFL with their combine process. We will have the education and means to train to specific movement patterns.”
