When James Segeyaro suffered a crippling ankle injury halfway through the NRL season 2012, his thoughts of playing again this year seemed all but dashed. The unpredictable but exciting Segeyaro was shaping as one of the finds of the season before being ruled out for the year with an ankle injury in the Cowboys’ 12-28 loss to the Gold Coast Titans in round 13. But with true determination and grit that players from Papua New Guinea are known for, he forced his way back into the side after spending just 2 months on the sidelines.

Penrith Panthers bound for season 2013, James has been training hard with Roger Fabri and the SAA team to help increase that explosive speed NRL playmakers require when working from dummy half.

“After his ankle injury and spending most of this year watching from the stands, James was looking for that extra edge to impress his new coaches at the Panthers, I think we have given that to him and he will be a force to be reckoned with come kickoff in March next year” Fabri said.
