Jared Waerea-Hargreaves wants to hit the ground running next season. Literally. The Roosters forward would normally be in Hawaii at this time of year but, in a bid to impress incoming coach Trent Robinson, has been doing extra sessions with renowned speed coach Roger Fabri.

Sin Bin watched JWH and Kiwi teammate Adam Blair go through their paces in a sharp 40-minute session on Friday. “In the bank for next year” Waerea-Hargreaves said. “Our season wasn’t as long as we would have liked it to be so we’re getting in some extra sessions.” Fabri attended a special workshop conducted by Olympic legend Michael Johnson at his Performance Centre in Dallas, Texas. He also impressed in clinics with the Dallas Cowboys, to the point where he was offered a chance to work with them on a full-time basis.
